5-Stars Review

Another Marriage Mart Mayhem novel and just as good as all other I got to read. This is a story of Sybil's twin. Sarah is on her way to see her sister in Highlands when she meets Professor Braeden. He is far too young to be a Professor but soon she finds out the he happens to be a genius. In any case she needs his help as she finds herself stranded in treacherous roads of Highlands.

Braeden is going home on a break from university. Soon he plans to leave for Rome. Then he meets Sarah and all of a sudden finds himself married. That was not the plan. Neither of them are ready for this marriage but now there is no escape from it. They must learn to compromise if they want to have any kind of happiness in their lives. That might bot be easy though...

Review: The Lost Soul of Lord Badewyn (The Order of the MUSE #3) by Mia Marlowe

The Lost Soul of Lord Badewyn

Synopsis

He vowed to never fall in love...

Meg Anthony was never raised a lady. Instead, she grew up amongst grifters who used her unique "finding" ability for their own selfish purposes. Recently, she's been taken under the wing of the Duke of Camden and the Order of M.U.S.E., learning not only the fine art of becoming a lady, but how to use her extraordinary talent to help others.

But Meg's gift is a beacon to unsavory characters who would possess her.

Charged with her protection, Lord Badewyn knows--too well--that his wild, Welsh castle is no safe haven for this lovely, all-too-desirable creature. Part human, part fallen angel, he is one of the Nephilim. He is a recluse sworn never to love. As the dangers to Meg grow more threatening, he cannot help but find himself tempted beyond all reason...and tested to see if he has both a heart and a soul.

5-Stars Review

Wow! This was quite a read. Its a historical romance novel which also has a lot of mystery, intrigue, excitement and people with special powers or gifts. In my opinion it is very difficult to put it in one specific genre, it has a bit of everything which makes it perfect. It has a beauty-and-the-beast-ish touch but a lot more mystery revolving around "the beast" i.e. Lord Badewyn.

Meg is a member of M.U.S.E. Her ability is that she can find things and people. It is a dangerous gift and every time she goes "finding" she gets closer to her death. This is the reason why she is forbidden by the Duke of Camden to use her power until they can find a safe way for her to do so. But sometimes she simply cannot resist the urge to use her gift. On one such occasion she stumbles upon an ongoing robbery. And finds out that her uncle and cousin are planning to get to her so that she can go back to helping them robbing people.

Duke is furious, which is to be expected but it is also a good thing they are fore warned. Now they can hide Meg until the threat is gone. It is decided that she will go to Welsh and stay with Lord Badewyn for the time being. He is a recluse who avoids company as much as possible. considering the remote location of his castle it is not so difficult. When Meg's arrive at his castle he acts like a brute towards her. The reason is something he cannot reveal to her but its important that they don't get attached to each other.

The plot is very interesting and author's way of writing has made it even better. I loved it and would recommend to all book lovers. This is an awesome book which kept me awake late at nights.

Review: His Pirate Seductress (Love on the High Seas #3) by Tamara Hughes

His Pirate Seductress

Synopsis

With her son's life in the balance, Catherine Fry is forced to locate and steal the priceless Ruby Cross of the Knights Templar. She knows who has it—it's just a matter of coercing Thomas Glanville, the handsome and incredibly stubborn captain of the ship she’s captured, into telling her the exact location. Fortunately, Catherine knows that there are many ways to get a man to talk...

Captain Thomas Glanville has the cross and he'll be damned if he's going to hand it over now that he finally has the means to buy a ship of his own. He's at the mercy of a fiery woman who will stop at nothing to achieve her goal. But Catherine has no idea who she's dealing with—and Thomas has his own means of charming a woman into his mercy and his bed...

4-Stars Review

I've always admired Hughes work and this book was also really good. This book has lot of action, thrill and adventure in addition to a female pirate and a handsome Captain. It is quite good historical fiction. I enjoyed reading it and would like to recommend it to all historical romance lovers.

Catherine is a pirate or at least she is for the time being. In order to save her family she needs something very valuable. To be able to get the cross from Captain Thomas she must lead a pirate ship. So here she is, fighting like a pirate. She captures Thomas and now all she needs is to retrieve the cross and be on her way to London. But things doesn't go as planned. Thomas refuses to give up the cross. Apparently he values it far more than Catherine has anticipated. She must torture him and make him give away its hiding place...

Thomas never thought that he'd be captured and tortured by a female pirate. She is definitely fierce and determined. But his future depends all selling the cross and he is not about to give it up so easily. soon he finds out why Catherine needs it so badly and now he is willing to help her so that they can both get what they want... The only problem is that he might not be able to keep his heart intact as he finds himself attracted to this pirate lady...

A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

He's not who she expected, but he's exactly the man she needs…

When Chelsea Wayne drags Santa into a supply closet for a little office party nookie, she assumes the man in the suit is her on-again/off-again coworker boyfriend. A hot interlude in a supply closet after deal number two seems like the perfect illicit Christmas bonus. Unfortunately, when that "bonus" becomes the key to the final deal, he finds himself back in bed--so to speak--with Chelsea, and after their steamy tryst, he's not interested in keeping things professional…

5-Stars Review

I absolutely loved this book, especially the beginning was too good, after that I simply couldn't put it down. I loved Chelsea and Rafe and their encounters are always so funny and romantic. This is one of the best romance novels I've read in a while and in addition to that story is passionate as well as humorous. It's a perfect package. If you are looking for romantic comedy with lots of chemistry then this one is definitely a good read.

Chelsea has never done anything as daring as dragging Santa into supply closet..... and it turns out that she mistook him for someone else. Now she is embarrassed and fearing the worst. Which happens but not in a way she anticipated. Suddenly unemployed and heart broken she moves to another city, she wants to change her life completely. That is her plan...

Review: Chance of a Lifetime (Anderson Brothers #3) by Marissa Clarke

Chance of a Lifetime (Anderson Brothers, #3)

Synopsis

Sometimes the biggest risk is playing it safe…

Gen Richards is tired of living down to her family’s expectation of the helpless blind girl. Resurrecting her high-school bucket list that begins with “kiss a total stranger” seems just the thing until she finds herself in a panty-melting lip lock with her big brother’s best friend.

Chance Anderson thrives on adrenaline, but Genny’s the one risk he’s not willing to take. His recklessness a decade ago landed her in the hospital and ejected him from her life. He’s bad for her and everyone knows it—especially her big brother.

Chance reluctantly helps Gen complete her bucket list in order to keep her out of trouble. Running through a freezing fountain, playing Spin the Bottle while fending off a mad horde of stinging insects, and skinny dipping with homicidal attack swans don’t hold a candle to the real danger: falling for the one person he can never have
.

5-Stars Review

Absolutely loved this story. It is such a heart warming and romantic novel, I loved it. All the characters and story line is amazing. I loved both Chance and Gen and the chemistry between them is off the chart. Some of the scenes are so well written that I read them again and again just to absorb everything. I must say it is the best book I have read this month ;)

Gen is so tired of being considered helpless and invalid. She can take care of herself but her family refuses to see it this way. Especially her brother has full control over her and she just follows everything he says.... Until one day she realizes how much that is effecting her happiness. She wants to live her life to the fullest and that is exactly what she will do.

Chance has loved Genny for a long time now but because of some things he did in the past he doesn't think he is good enough for her. Her family agrees on that. Hence there he is watching her from a far but never daring to get any closer.... until one day when she decides to close the distance and walks to him. Now all bets are off, he simply cannot stay away from her any more and her family will have to deal with it.

Review: Sweet Ride (Playing for Keeps #3) by Cathryn Fox

Sweet Ride

Synopsis

He'll unlock her wildest fantasies...

Private investigator Curtis Jagger has always had a thing for Alix Harris. She was the darling of their high school--gorgeous, popular, class president...and, he suspects, just as naughty as she is nice. Now Jag has the opportunity to show her what she's missing. To show her that sometimes being bad can be sexy as hell...

Alix has always done what she's supposed to, and it's gotten her exactly nowhere. Determined to please herself--in every way possible--she accepts Jag's mysterious invitation to his ranch. In front of Jag's camera lens, Alix finds freedom far beyond her expectations. A freedom where she takes the reins and rides out every wicked desire.

But in one week, Alix will have to return to her real world where politics reign. A world that can't include Jagger, or she'll lose everything.

5-Stars Review

This is short romance novella which is as good as any full length novel with well-developed characters and smoothly flowing story line. Its a quick-fun read.

Alix decided to accept Jag's invitation impulsively and when she finally meets him she has second thoughts. After all it was years ago when they knew each other and she has no idea what kind of a person he has grown into. But Jag is determined to win her over so he is willing to be patient and considerate. After her momentary indecision she decides to stay at his ranch. This time she is thinking of herself rather than family obligations or duty.

Soon they both realise that they fit together and it won't take much for them to fall in love...

Review: Blurring the Lines by Marisa Cleveland

Blurring the Lines

Synopsis

He broke all his rules... for her.

Real estate development CEO Blake Whitman is an Aquarius with a philanthropic nature, but when it comes to work, he's driven and focused, and he would never, ever mix business with pleasure. As far as he's concerned, office romance is off the table.

He also never backs down from a challenge, and Kira Layton just accused him of ruining the community. What better way to get her on his side than to hire her?

But the more he tells himself to keep his hands off his new, sexy secretary, the harder it is for him to come up with reasons why office romances never work and why it's a bad idea to cross the line..

4-Stars Review

This was an interesting and enjoyable read. I liked Blake's character and chemistry between Kira and him made this book more entertaining to read. Kira is amusing, funny and determined woman. She wants to support/help the society and willing to work hard in order to achieve those goals. Blake is and over-worked businessman who is focused on increasing his company's profits. But they are both perfect for each other. What starts as a work relationship soon turns into something more and they might not get out with their hearts intact...

Blake needs a secretary and Kira needs to save her mother's legacy. They can work together to achieve their goals. For her charity and helping out at animal shelter means a lot. She is pleasantly surprised to find out that Blake is not the cold hearted businessman everyone seems to think. He also cares about helping out in the society and shares her love for dogs but will that be enough for them to be together....

A best romance novel! I recommend it to all readers who like contemporary romance books. This one is definitely a good one.

Review: Ice Moon (Moon #5) by Lisa Kessler

Ice Moon (Moon Series #5)

Synopsis

One touch and she is his…
Jared Ayers works outdoors, embracing a solitary life, hiding from his inner demons. But after so many of his Pack brothers have found their mates, he starts wondering if there might be a mate in his future too. His world turns upside down after he's hired by the "Ice Queen of Lake Tahoe". One touch is all it takes. One touch to send the wolf howling within...

A gifted psychic with pyrokinesis, Taryn Goldstone wields fire beyond her control– sometimes with dire consequences. With Jared, she discovers that some flames are meant for passion–and healing. She has enemies who covet her powerful gift, but they are about to learn just how far a wolf will go to protect his mate.

5-Stars Review

I loved this book. The story line was exciting and all the characters were well-developed as well as very likable. I liked Jared and Taryn's couple. I also like the irony behind her  "Ice Queen" nickname when it was actually her ability to ignite fire that kept her aloof. It was a very engaging book from the very start. I like paranormal romance and this is definitely going among one of my favourites.

Taryn cannot control her gift hence she builds up walls around herself to hide behind. She is scared that if people come any closer they will get burned. Considering her past the assumption is not so far off its mark. But what she doesn't realise is that instead of erecting walls she can use her energy to control her power so that everyone including her son can come close to her...

Jared knows that Taryn isn't the Ice Queen everyone thinks she is. There is sadness in her eyes and longing. When he realises that she is his mate he knows that now he must do everything in his power to convince her of her own ability to control. It is true that she is dangerous but it is also true that he cannot live without her so they have to give each other a chance...

There is also danger looming around the corner and Taryn and her son seems to be the targets. It's up to Jared to keep them safe...

Review: The Greek's Stowaway Bride by Alexia Adams

The Greek's Stowaway Bride

Synopsis

She slipped aboard his yacht, but can he keep her out of his heart?

Egyptian heiress Rania Ghalli is desperate to free her political prisoner uncle before it's too late. Hoping to make it to North Africa, she stows away on the yacht of Greek millionaire Demetri Christodoulou. But when Egyptian agents board the boat, she can either jump overboard...or claim she's Demetri's new bride.

Tired of being no more than the bastard disgrace to the Christodoulou name, Demetri intends to build a luxury resort below his grandfather's house so the old man has no choice but to acknowledge that Demetri has made something of himself. But first, he needs a wife to complete the land purchase. With Rania now at his mercy, a plan comes together. He'll play along, protecting her and helping to free her uncle, but in exchange, he demands a real marriage. But keeping the vivacious heiress out of his heart will be a lot harder than keeping her on his ship...

4-Stars Review

This was an entertaining read, especially because of Rania. She is adventurous, spontaneous and a very intriguing character. Nothing about her is simple or straightforward. Demetri on the other hand is quite the opposite, always in control and believes in planning before doing something. Although that changes when he meets Rania. Some how she manages to aboard his yacht without notice and then pretends to be his wife. As it so happens Demetri was also in need of a wife and Rania seems like the perfect candidate for this job. Besides it was going to be a very temporary wedding. As soon as they both got what they want they will move on with their lives. No heartbreaks and no fuss. Things didn't go Demetri's way though. Rania is a force to be reckoned. His wife refuses to follow his rules and soon things start spiralling out of Demetri's control.

In my opinion the best thing about this book is Rania's character. After a long time I have come across such an entertaining heroine. Through out the book her actions kept me on edge, wondering what she is going to do next. What new scheme will she con cote next. It was quite an experience. This is great contemporary novel for all romance lovers.

When an enemy from the past resurfaces with an ultimatum--complete a simple task or Sam dies--they're backed into a corner. The goal? Kill a demon called Malphi. The problem? Jax's demon, Azirak, has no intention of letting that happen…

4-Stars Review

It is an interesting paranormal fiction. It's a second book in the series The Eternal Balance. Even though I've not read book one I was still able to enjoy reading this one. It is an interesting story about two demons who are banished to earth and fated to be born again and again in a human body. They are sworn enemies and this time they were born as twin brothers. A situation that put everyone around them in potential danger. Jax and Chase have a problem to control their demons. Although it seems that Chase is one with his demon while Jax tries to fight it as much as possible, often unsuccessfully...

Then there is Sam whom Jax loves very much and his demon also cares for her. Because of Chase they find themselves in a perilous situation, either Jax kills a dangerous demon or Sam dies. Both are unacceptable. They must find another way to save Sam and in doing so they might tip the eternal balance in one way or another. Either good or evil will win if they couldn't keep the balance they have been entrusted to keep...

Review: Falling for Her Enemy (Still Harbor #2) by Victoria James

Falling for Her Enemy

Synopsis

She’s falling for the one man who could destroy everything…

Alex McAllister always dreamed of a life filled with the laughter and love of a family, but being abandoned at a young age left her wary of letting anyone in. Now that she’s settled in Still Harbor, Alex struggles between keeping her distance and the magnetic pull of the handsome stranger who claims he’s the biological father of her adopted daughter.

Hayden Brooks never wanted to be a father. Long hours spent building his family’s real estate empire suits him just fine. But when he discovers an ex put the baby he unknowingly fathered up for adoption, his world crumbles. He tracks the child to Still Harbor with the intention of bringing her home—and comes face to face with his daughter’s stunning adoptive mother.

The paternity test is in. And Hayden’s about to make the most shocking decision of his life, just in time for Christmas…

4-Stars Review

Interesting and quite romantic! This is a story about a man who finds out that he might have fathered a child he knows nothing about and a woman who realises that her adoptive daughter might have a father she couldn't possibly keep her away from. It is quite emotional time for both Alex and Hayden.

Hayden works at a bakery which she plans to buy as soon as she can save enough funds. She has a daughter whom she loves a lot. Then she finds out that she might not get the bakery she has always wanted and in addition to that there is a chance that she will lose her daughter too. Because Alex is rich and successful and she cannot possibly win if it came down to custody fight.

Alex only wants to know the truth. If he has a daughter then he plans to bring her home. No matter what he is willing to make his daughter's life as easy as possible. What he doesn't expect is to fall in love with her adoptive mother or liking Still Harbor to think about staying there...

The story flows smoothly, there are some amazingly romantic scenes and some exciting ones. I loved all the characters. Its definitely a four stars read!

5-Stars Review

Another amazing suspenseful thriller, this book was so exciting that I couldn't put it down once I started it. All the mystery and intrigue kept me up late at night and I devoured the whole thing, gobbled it. ;) The beginning was especially exceptional as it piqued my interest. Although ending was quite epic as well.

Review: How to Lose a Bachelor by Anna Banks

How to Lose a Bachelor

Synopsis

But at the last minute she finds out the hot bachelor is her ex-boyfriend, Grant Drake. Desperate to keep her distance from him, she'll do anything–and everything–to get voted off.

Years ago, Rochelle broke Grant’s heart, and he's out for revenge. There's no way he'll vote her off.
After all, vengeance is a dish best served red-hot...and on live television.

When her hilarious antics to get kicked off the show escalate, Grant’s reminded why he fell in love with her the first time. Now he isn't sure which might be more fun... Seeing how far Rochelle is willing to go to get away or how far he will to keep her forever

5-Stars Review

I think this is the most fun I have had in a while. Reading about unpredictable Rochelle was quite entertaining. She doesn't hold back and no one messes with her. Right now she is determined to get her revenge, her ex-boyfriend is going to regret the day he decided to do the reality show that brought them back together. Although things are not easy for her either because apparently Grant is not letting her get away so easily this time...

When Grant finds Rochelle there is only one thing on his mind and thing is not reconnecting with her in any way. He cannot go through with all the drama and heartbreak once more but what he doesn't realise is that Rochelle is thinking on the same lines. Dealing with her and keeping up appearances for the audience's sake will not be easy for him at all. But you know what they say... love conquers all.

The story is quite enjoyable. There are many funny moments and some quite romantic not to mention some very embarrassing encounters. One thing is for sure this book will keep you entertained from the very beginning until the end...

Review: Kissing Her Crush (Sugar City #2) by Ophelia London

5-Stars Review

A fun read! This is a lighthearted romance novel about an unlikely couple. It was not a good idea for either of them to fall in love but they did anyway.

Natalie finally got a lab for her trial, she needs to prove her theory about chocolate and depression because a lot depends on her success. When she got the grant she went out celebrate and ran into an old acquaintance...

Luke was in town to proctor a lab trial. It turned out be the one headed by Natalie. They are both not happy about this turn of events. Because it seemed that they must be on opposite sides. Their ideals were too different. To Natalie her research meant everything while to Luke her whole proposition was a stupid idea and there was no way she'd get any further grants for that.

But what they didn't count on was realising that they both needed to reevaluate their believes. Things were not as simple as they thought, in both their cases. And in the end they both compromised to make things work. Because the only life they could imagine was with each other.

The story is quite engaging with lots of chemistry, romance, drama, fun and not to mention chocolates to keep readers satisfied.

A Kingdom at War . . .

Elora, the young princess of the Dark Faeries, plans to overthrow her tyrannical mother, the Dark Queen, and bring equality to faeriekind. All she has to do is convince her mother’s loathed enemy, the Bright Queen, to join her cause. But the Bright Queen demands an offering first: a human boy who is a “young leader of men.”

A Dark Princess In Disguise . . .

To steal a mortal, Elora must become a mortal—at least, by all appearances. And infiltrating a high school is surprisingly easy. When Elora meets Taylor, the seventeen-year-old who’s plotting to overthrow a ruthless bully, she thinks she’s found her offering . . . until she starts to fall in love.

Guest Post

Hey everybody! Today I’m sharing the playlist for my upcoming YA fantasy, THE LAST FAERIE QUEEN! When I put together a playlist, I like to envision the book is being made into a movie, so each song fits with a specific scene, and songs 1 and 8 would play during the opening and closing credits:

Playlist for THE LAST FAERIE QUEEN

1.     Castle by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (when Taylor wakes up in the Seelie Court, and is reunited with his friends)

2.     Fallen by Sarah McLachlan (when Elora must choose between her ability to fly and her ability to fight in the revolution)

3.     Magic by B.o.B. featuring Rivers Cuomo (when the mortals are given faerie fruit, and the glamour covering the faerie realm is lifted)

4.     Strange Love by Halsey (when Elora must convince her followers she doesn’t care for Taylor, even though she does)

5.     Just Like Heaven, cover by Goldfinger (when Taylor and Elora finally get a moment alone)

6.     Everybody’s Fool by Evanescence (when Elora returns to the Dark Court, and a party is thrown in her honor)

7.     Mad Hatter by Melanie Martinez (the big battle with the Dark Faeries)

8.     Timebomb by Pink (the ending, when all is revealed!)

Thanks so much for having me!
