Review: Letters Home (Letters Home #1) by Rebecca Brooke
SynopsisLife is all about the jigsaw, right? Finding the different puzzle pieces to complete your very own picture. A career you love, a house to make a home, a lover to complete you, and keep you warm at night.
Danielle Renton has a life, and she loves it. A recent law school graduate, she’d been floored when her boyfriend, Nate Lewis, enlisted during their sophomore year of college. At the time, she’d been concerned with what that meant for them as a couple, but in the years that followed, they’d learned to adapt to the logistics of an army relationship.
But when life throws her a curve ball, how will she cope? Can she pick up the pieces and make her picture beautiful again? Or does she realize that, sometimes, the pieces can be too broken to fit back together…
Oh wow, what an emotional roller coaster this book has been! I loved it <3 The story is very touching, and romantic. Although I must mention that this one is not for faint of heart and/or people who are affected by war stories. It made me cry quite a bit. ;) But if you dig emotional stories then this is a must read for you.
Nate and Danielle's love is the kind everyone dreams of. They met as teenagers and from there, not only their friendship grew but also their love evolved. They knew they were perfect for each other and it was inevitable that they ended up married. They only thing not perfect in their lives was the fact that Nate joined army. Although Danielle knew what she was getting into but still wife being a wife of an army officer isn't easy...
Army was Nate's calling and he couldn't ignore it. This is what would make him happy hence he joined.... They didn't expect the turn things will take.
How will Danielle turn it around? Only time will tell...
First half of the book was perfect. I enjoyed reading it a lot. Although second half was a little more dreary but it was also good.
