Tangled (Tangled #1) by Emma Chase

"Description"
Drew Evans is a winner. Handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. He has loyal friends and an indulgent family. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed?

He’ll tell you he has the flu.

But we all know that’s not really true.

Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. She refuses to let anything - or anyone - derail her path to success. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

Then, just when Drew is on the cusp of having everything he wants, his overblown confidence threatens to ruin it all. Will he be able untangle his feelings of lust and tenderness, frustration and fulfillment? Will he rise to the most important challenge of his life?

Can Drew Evans win at love?

"My Favourite Quotes From the Book"
“For God's sake, don't let her watch Cinderella. What kind of example is that? A mindless twit who can't even remember where she left her damn shoe, so she has to wait for some douchebag in tights to bring it to her? Give me a frigging break!”
― Emma Chase, Tangled

"Assume nothing. even if you think you know everything. even if you're sure that you're right. Get confirmation."
― Emma Chase, Tangled

“Newsflash, ladies: We can’t read your thoughts. And frankly, I’m not entirely sure I’d want to. The female mind is a scary place to be.”
― Emma Chase, Tangled

“Women fall in love quicker than men. Easier and more often. But when guys fall? We go down harder. And when things go bad? When it's not us who ends it? We don't get to walk away.
We crawl.”
― Emma Chase, Tangled

“Fine’s a funny word, don’t you think? I don’t think there’s another like it in the English language that says so much while actually saying so little.”

"Review"
Another cute story. This book is outrageously hilarious. You will not be able to stop laughing while reading it. As Drew tells his story you will realise how sometimes we don't even know ourselves. We think that we don't need something in life and in the ends it turns out that that exact thing is what makes us the happiest. In Drew's case it was true love.
What started as professional rivalry between two colleagues, Drew and Katherine, soon turned into something more. Drew was competitive and thought that he was the best but Kate was no less, they were a perfect match but somethings are more important than winning or proving yourself to be right. Unfortunately for Drew, he figured that out a little late or may be it wasn't too late.
This book is so funny that I absolutely loved it. It is simply the best!!
